Tyra Nen
Description
Few wonders like Tyra Nen come to Cael anymore. More than twenty feet long and easily two tons of supernatural muscle and mass, Tyra nevertheless embodies a primal beauty few can ignore. From the waist down, this lillend’s body is a long serpentine tail. Though dominated by emerald coloration, in even the slightest bit of sunlight, prismatic glows flutter down over every scale and scute of that mighty tail, capable of wrapping around any foe and squeezing the life out of it. Sprouting from her pale back is a pair of great feathered wings resembling that of a peacock, for they too scintillate through every color of the rainbow. Those wings easily span close to thirty feet and propel her legless body easily through the air. Aside from those wings, however, her body is dazzlingly fair. Soft if supple flesh of pale color and shapely elven form separates the serpent from the beautiful woman. Tyra wears no clothes at all, save a pair of golden bracers over her wrists depicting tiny epic scenes of lillends and couatls battling demons and monsters. Some decency is maintained with her long blue-green tresses cascading down over her chest, framing her breathtaking, heart-shaped face. Piercing gold eyes peer out, seeking truth, while canted ears listen for the perfect melodies. A distant scent of the sea accompanies the lillend’s flight, and dreamy wonder emanates from her divine form like a constant blessing. While a deadly recurved long bow of alien manufacture is at grasp in case she must fight, Tyra is more likely to strum her lyre and play her flute. And in her music, deeper magic yet may be found.
History
In the Alfheim Woodlands of Ysgard, a mystical place beyond the mortal coil, creatures of wonder and horror alike roamed. Tyra Nen, one of the bardic lillends, was born from the inspiration of a god 1,400 years ago – one of the realm’s wonders. She popped into existence fully-grown, mature and fully self-aware. Immediately, Tyra set to practicing her own music, creating her own compilations, while exploring her new world and life. She took great joy in everything she could do and everyone she met. Out of necessity in this wild world, Tyra learned how to defend herself. But otherwise, for many centuries her existence was defined by musical talent, whim, and happiness. No trouble drove her out of Ysgard. No, sheer curiosity in what sort of musics mortal men might compose was what inspired Tyra to move. She went to the great wizard of Alfheim, who agreed to transfer her from Ysgard to Cael for the simple price of a ballad composed in his honor. Tyra agreed and labored on the art for many weeks. Finally, she presented the wizard with her music. Duly impressed, he answered Tyra’s wish and transferred to a relatively serene realm in Estonen – Crystal Bay, Elan.
Personality
Tyra is a being of wonder, magic, inspiration, and primal beauty. She well knows she embodies all of these concepts and strives to represent them well. She only hopes she doesn’t let down other lillends, herself, or the artists she chooses to patronize. As for dangers threatening her little piece of the pie, her good nature may quickly turn protective. Then her arrows and coils, as well as her bardic sorceries, may very well bring regret to whoever brings such folly that they would disturb Tyra’s content.
Goals
Tyra would happily follow the career of the bard to mastery (20th level+) and more as an epic musician.
