Tinon Clodos

Description

Nothing about the man called Tinon Clodos suggests goodness, fairness, or compassion. A cruel expression forever dominates his square-jawed and admittedly handsome young features. But the Count of Clodos is forever hated and for good cause. The fine chain mail he wears and the deadly blades he wields are testament to his brutal intentions. Well-muscled and of tall and proud comportment, what betrays his tiefling heritage are the tiny horns sprouting from his otherwise human forehead. Additionally, his short dark-brown hair should match his eyes, but for the infernal glow that so often frequents them. He’s the son of the devil, and has no compunctions of treating others to the delights of hell.

History

Thirty years ago, the mother of Tinon Clodos was an upstanding noblewoman near the borderlands of Darsix. She was seduced by a devilishly handsome mercenary and Tinon was the result. His father was a tiefling, and his father, too; Tinon suspected he would have to trace back several generations to find the original fiendish progenitor of his inherited wickedness. But as a young nobleman, groomed to be count, he took up his responsibilities with cunning vigor and a lust for blood. Such was his lust that he turned one of the last communities in Darsix to resist that land’s evil into one of the worst wastelands of horrors. He murdered both his father and mother and became the unquestioned count, a bastard son with monstrous features that only darklings would follow. But with the loyalty of orcs and similar creatures, Tinon consolidated his rule over his land, setting most of the normal inhabitants to torment, and sharing his territory gladly with other monsters.

Personality

Tinon is a bastard in every sense of the word. He is malevolent, vicious, imaginatively vile, and savagely short-tempered. His evil heritage is matched by his skill in combat. He lusts for bloodshed, whether on the battlefield or in his castle’s torturous dungeons. A sadist and murderer, there are now laws or taboos he has not broken or would think twice about breaking in the future.

Goals

Though in a sense he is simplistically evil and physically dominant, he will likely experiment with other paths to power. His keen intellect would make him especially skilled as a wizard, or equally dangerous as an assassin lord. Thus, he will pursue his fighter class awhile (4th-level), develop some rogue skills (to 4th-level), and then take up the assassin class to mastery before returning to fighter or rogue levels.
