Thora For'lon

Description

As aggressive as a hunter is this wood elf’s long-legged gait. Thora For’lon appears to be no older than a human in her mid-20s, and her energy and attentive yearning reveals this in Thora’s demeanor. The druid seems as beautiful as a sunlit morning, her long golden-blonde hair left loose and naturally straight. Green eyes as verdant as the forest she protects prove clear and alert at all hours, and are always bent to the horizon. A light smattering of freckles decorates Thora’s high-boned elfin cheeks, complimenting her canted ears and even expression. Taut muscles constantly propel Thora on the move. Her tanned leather tunic and doeskin boots are appropriate garb for her woodland hikes. But the druid does not hesitate to don stiffer leather mail and take up her curved blades to defend the sylvan lands she loves to explore. Assisting her work, Steyanthas regularly circles nearby in the blue sky above. The falcon is a tawny-colored peregrine, attentive and affectionate only to her owner. Thora’s inherent nobility is reflected in her companion’s predatory height. She is an exemplar of the elven way of life, cherishing life and unhesitant to lash out at all that threaten its fragile balance.

History

Raised in the Bania Woods of Chrystana since 753 AK, Thora For’lon always felt drawn to nature. Her family’s cottage was not near any elven cities, and she was able to connect to the woods all the better. Thora avoided any mention of elf society, spending most of her days in the forest. She developed her agility and stealth so she could sneak up on her fellow sylvan denizens. She could even climb a tree and creep up onto a bird’s nest without being spotted. That very skill was what changed Thora’s life by accident in her early adulthood. She scaled a great hill, eager to get a closer look at the reputed nest of a giant eagle. She made her approach, but the clever eagles spotted her and swept down to frighten her off. She fell far and hit her head. While lying in such a battered state, Thora had a vision of her destiny. She was to serve nature and protect it from all trespass. She learned from her mistake of curiosity, and nature flowed back through her form, healing her body and putting her on a new and more determined path. As she began to explore her new role as druid and caretaker of the woods, she learned that all woods were her charge. Thora bid her family farewell and set forth to explore all of Chrystana. Along the way, she befriended a falcon she was sure the heavens sent to watch over her, and named her Steyanthas. Together, Thora ventured through the land in search of imbalances to correct.

Personality

Thora comes off as a contrast of personalities. On one hand, she embodies the elfin tendencies to be fair and nurturing. But she is also cold and calculating, watchful and mistrustful – even xenophobic. Even though it was her own curiosity that got her in trouble in the first place, Thora can’t help but still wonder about the mysteries of nature. That makes her more complex and wondrous than she knows.

Goals

Thora will master the druid class (20th-level) before taking up the prestige class of hierophant.
