Tefur Lot

Description

A mass of towering muscle and monstrous terror embodies the champion of the arena, Tefur Lot. The minotaur is tremendous, even for his kind, towering over seven and a half feet tall, easily weighing close to eight hundred pounds. Horns are curved from the bull-man’s temples, and black eyes glint with determined battle-spurred cruelty. Tefur sports a gold ring through his large snout and sharp teeth flash in his mouth. A well-groomed black mane crests his scalp and vanishes into the sheath of his armor, an ancient but finely made breastplate and accompanying chain mail. Stretching from massive hand to hand, Tefur tugs a terrifying spiked chain designed to entangle, hook, tear, rip. And those are the words that this frightening monster seems to know best.

History

Tefur Lot lived as a child in the Malleus Boneyards of Darsix. Here the giant skeletal carcasses of monsters lay in a mass graveyard and many living (and unliving) creatures crawled in and out. A small enclave of minotaurs dwelled here, and Tefur was born to this mighty folk. From childhood, he was forced to test his strength and endurance against all sorts of enemies that sought to kill him out of hunger or simply hatred. Tefur prevailed and grew stronger and mightier over the years, harnessing an unnatural potential for slaughter that few could match. He drew the attention from a human merchant traveling the dimmer roads. The merchant’s mercenaries were attacked by a small force of ogres and hill giants. For fun and no other reason, Tefur fell upon them and slaughtered them all. The merchant awarded the minotaur with coin…and an offer. If the minotaur would accompany the humans back to Praetoria, they would enter him as a free man (or whatever) into the arena games. Bored with the challenges (or lack thereof) in the Boneyards area, Tefur agreed. The sights of civilization dazzled Tefur at first, but the roar of the bloodthirsty crowd excited him even further. Tefur soon rose as one of the greatest and most fearsome contenders for champion that the Praetorian gaming rings ever witnessed.

Personality

Tefur is cruel, malicious, competitive, and fearless. He is the most hated (and thus loved) gladiator in Jael. He is not interested in winning for the sake of victory but simply because he loves killing. The thrill of combat and slaughter is his entire universe, though slaughter without a challenge quickly bores him. And a bored minotaur is very dangerous indeed.

Goals

Tefur Lot is only interested in mastering the art of war and thus will pursue the fighter level to epic levels (20th+).
