Most Mirialan gravitated to the Republic. Not the Hark twins. Tavina and Aleyna Hark had the misfortune of being caught by Hutt slavers when they were just children. Nar Shadaa became their home. Twin Mirialan girls could have easily fetched a pretty price in pleasure quarters. Instead, the crime lord, Sterol the Hutt, had them trained as deadly assassins. For years, the twins honed their craft together and separately both. Finally, one day, Tavina and Aleyna had enough. They took turns strangling and mutilating the Hutt. Their free agency that followed didn’t last long. Before bounty hunters zeroed in on the sisters, an Imperial Watcher recruited them into Sith Intelligence. After sufficient training (and conditioning), the Hark sisters were ready for deployment. Sadly, they never did work together again. Indeed, Tavina never even saw Aleyna again. After Aleyna’s deep cover assignment somewhere in the Core Worlds, Tavina was assigned to sleazier work in Hutt Space. As the Cold War heated up, and her sister’s ultimate fate leaked through Intelligence, Tavina grew colder, even to other Imperials. She felt cut off, part of her forever lost, her life to forever feel incomplete. It filled her with a cold and bitter rage, and the galaxy would yet tremble…
