Stedu Wae Von

Bio

A son of Espirion and one of the few Zabrak settlers on that planet, Stedu Wae Von expected a life of service in the planet's armed forces and perhaps the Republic. His parents evidently did as well, for they raised their son with pride, discipline, principle, and compassion. That sense of rectitude guided Stedu in everything he did, including stand up to bullies regularly in school. By the age of 12, his exercise routine became a habit of such great focus that he unknowingly began to act within the grace of the Force. His reflexes were faster than normally possible. Still, his innate gifts would have gone unnoticed, so subtle it revealed.

Fortunately, Grand Master Satele Shan herself had visions of Stedu's talents while she was still a Padawan. She muddled the visions at the time as being of her own master, Kao Cen Darach. However, the visions continued after his death, and she realized eventually a different Zabrak – yet one very much like Master Kao – was on her mind. She visited Espirion, sought out the young man, and observed his skills and gifts. Before long, Stedu was on his way to becoming a Jedi, and with the great honor of beginning his tutelage under the guidance of the Grand Master herself. For the first year, he trained under Satele, but soon she feared a conflict of interest in his training and her lingering sentiments for her fallen master. So, Stedu's advanced training was given over to Master Orgus Din at the academy on Tython instead. There began Stedu's final training before his principled character and understated ability with the Force would be put to a long and grueling test against the Sith Empire. He proved a relentless foe of evil, much like Master Kao, fearlessly challenging all enemies of the Light and Republic. He aided the Stormfalls on Gorse and would become known as the bane of the Dark Council for facing down and vanquishing multiple Darths. Always, he humbly gave credit to his adherence to the right path, which always simply ignored the poorer choices in life. Even so-called gray areas generally turned out to be black-and-white, because his principles remained general virtues rather than strict rules. Thus did Stedu always present a role model Jedi Knight, one that would forever be emulated.
