In some ways, the planets Rishi and Cyrkon moved as opposites, located in very different parts of the galaxy. In some ways, one couldn’t tell them apart. Both planets held vibrant tropical climates, both orbited the Outer Rim, and both provided pirate paradises. Only the relative proximity of a dwarf galaxy really counted. With piracy, slavery thrived. Those dominated Sithashi Ra’s earliest memories. She held no memory of her parents, only of a whip and shock collar. Her owners forced Sithashi to work in a mine. That experience didn’t toughen her. It nearly broke the young Cathar. But that breaking also awakened her potential. With the Force, she escaped. Fear and pain channeled her power. She harnessed the shock collar around her neck and electrocuted her slaver. Unable to consciously tap her nascent gifts yet, her escape attempt only landed her back in custody and chains. The Cyrkonians quickly sold her off-planet to a Sith slaver. Aptly named it seemed, the Cathar learned to contained her embedded terror and unleash it desperately and spectacularly. This served the sneaky, fretful, and kitten-like Sith well in her steady rise above the brazen and foolhardy backstabbing of the Empire. If every Sith was driven by a particular passion above all, hers would surely have been fear. In her discordant and unlikely ascent to power in the galaxy, she might have left only a mark of shame in the end. But it was still a mark.
