Seandra "Kristal" Holinaï

Description

Seandra appears to be a rakishly attractive and fair-skinned human woman in her early 20s. She wears knee-high black leather boots and matching breeches. A short-sleeved tunic encloses her well-toned and athletic frame. Her bare arms glitter with silvery armlets. Slim gloves conceal her hands while a hankerchief wraps around her head. Seandra's honey-brown hair cascades halfway down her back. The silk green cloth conceals much of her hair and ears. Seandra bears a shrewd smirk on her lips; gently slanted hazel eyes glitter with adventure and mischief. Her dangerous veneer is only emphasized by the relaxed manner in which she carries the jeweled rapier sheathed at her side. A weather-worn brown traveling cloak billows behind her back, granting a glimpse of a common rucksack strapped on her shoulders. A quiver is bound to her left side, sharp raven fletch evident. The light crossbow is hitched securely to her left hip to avoid clattering with her confident step. Though geared to receive hell, this rogue has an eye for heaven. Of course, heaven's streets had better be paved with gold…

History

"Kristal" was a product of rape like many half-elves are. Her mother, Eleandra, was attacked by bandits on the way home to Raiodell. Seandra was born into the elfin people's cultured society, but suffered their bias from day one. Though their sylvan city was a center of beauty and lore, Seandra soon came to renounce their ways just as they scorned her "poor breeding". She suffered their prejudice with the pride of the elf and the stubborn will of the human for many years and a seed of spite was planted deep in her heart. Though Seandra studied well in Raiodell, she was forever denied access to their premium schools of arcane lore. Foreseeing no future here, Seandra abandoned her mother and Raiodell for the open road.

Eventually, her travels brought her to the great city of Fyregaard. There she was beset by the lower class scum, too pretty a face to ignore. She eluded most of her pursuit while seeking a career by which to subsist. Then she ran into the dashing rogue, Berryl Tan. Berryl took Seandra under wing, teaching her how to survive outside society's norms. He called it "creative financing". She adopted a professional monker (Kristal) and under Berryl's tutelage, the half-elf carved a name for herself in Fyregaard and the region. As Kristal, she became especially nefarious for her work for the city. In one mission, she earned the trust (through a little brigandage of her own) of the Tul goblin tribe and led them into an ambush of mercenary forces that the city employed. The Tul were decimated.

And with that success, Kristal parted ways from her mentor (despite his good looks) and took to the road again. Now she searched for greater glory and treasure. Seandra yearned for the day she might return to Raiodell as a great and wealthy hero (of sorts), and snub her arrogant kinsmen once and for all. Or perhaps she didn't want to go home until she could apologize to her mother for running away with something to show for her youthful frivolry.

Personality

Reserved but carefree, this dangerous rogue has no patience for arrogance. Her tongue be as sharp as her blade and she isn't always prudent enough to keep her mouth shut. Clever and well-learned in common life and academics, Kristal is really a city girl. She doesn't really enjoy the city population so much as she feels comfortable skirting around them and staying on top of the world. She considers full-blooded humans as unruly ignoramuses and elves as arrogant little snoots. Truly, though Kristal abhors social bias, she clings to its skirts as if afraid of a peaceful life. Her own nature is at war: nature versus town life, good versus evil, responsibility versus freedom. This is an internal battle that, quite frankly, Kristal surrendered long ago. She may never achieve inner peace if she doesn't find a channel for her youthful energies besides treasure accrual.

Goals

Kristal will take the Rogue class to 5th level, then begin the Ranger class and acquire 3rd level. Then she will take up the Duelist class, mastering it to 10th level, before returning to master her Rogue and Ranger classes (both to 20th level).
