Raine Farpeak

Description

Such a gorgeous creature Raine Farpeak is! Her fey beauty seems untouchable and as fragile as a spring breeze. Her sweet elfin features appear almost sad, yet so smooth and innocent that they can enthrall anyone into a fugue. Her body seems to tremble in fearful sorrow, inviting those who view her to yearn to protect Raine from all that would harm. She seems like a mere slip of a girl, standing only five feet tall and weighing only 85 pounds. Her sylvan flesh is nubile and curvy, too perfect to spoil. Mountain winds sweep her waist-length chestnut-brown hair back; her only real covering is that mane of her hair, and her fresh body is otherwise naked. Soft blue eyes are rich with passion and a musical, romantic love of nature. Raine's delicate wings flutter behind her, the appendages gossamer and rainbow in shade, like the wings of a butterfly. They only add to the sylph's fey allure, promising gentle compassion to the wise and earthly misfortune to the wicked. That misfortune is seen most readily when Raine appears to defend the peaks for which she was named, wearing magically-empowered bracers of platinum fashion and wielding a shiny scimitar in one hand and divine ordinance in the other.

History

Few sylphs are still born of the very mountains. Sahas Mountain in Elan conceived Raine Farpeak 109 years ago, however. She was one of those rare few. Raine was given birth by the music burning in the mountain's soul and the earth gave her life to reflect its deep pathos. Raine grew into maturity, raised by the wisdom of the mountain and the clouds above. She demonstrated a profound talent for communicating with air and stone alike. Indeed, Raine hoped she could be a muse. She thought she could get the very stones to sing and the wind to whistle. Raine tried for years and listened closely, but still the elements sang the same tunes. Nature's constancy was boring Raine. It was almost banal in its simplicity. So she began to travel through the mountain ranges, searching for other wanderers like herself. Raine hoped that if she couldn't achieve what she hoped, she could at least find a kindred spirit in which to take solace.

Personality

Raine seems lost and dreamy. Any who view her risk being drawn into that hopeful vision. This sylph is quiet and reflective, quite shy in fact. She's a songbird, however, and visitors have encountered her after being drawn to her peaks by her musical talent. But Raine is only searching for the "perfect wind" -- a naturally occurring melody or harmony that will complete her life.

Goals

Raine will multi-class between the Bard and Druid classes as appropriate until she masters both fields (20th levels).
