Phoebe

Description
A goddess incarnate, that's what Phoebe is. Her beauty is beyond compare and beyond reckoning, and deepened unfathomably with a divine radiance that gives her whole person an impalpable glow. That glow burns with almost childish purity and untouched innocence. This half-celestial nymph is a creature of golden roads and silver rainbows. She is sleight of build but athletic and swift on delicate feet or strong, dove-feathered wings that span twice her height of barely five feet. On her right leg is tied a sheath, a curved kukri tucked inside the brown leather scabbard. In hand, rare is it to see Phoebe without her recurved long bow, the weapon cut from the heartwood of rattan and engraved with images of lions, serpents, and other predators. Her smooth skin and nubile curves are clad in nothing but a single girdle around her waist, upon which is latched a single leather pouch and a large quiver for many hawk-fletched arrows. With so much goddess-like nudity on shameless display, it's good that Phoebe is so rarely seen outside her coastal reservoir. Her long and glittering hair, like flowing quicksilver, sometimes helps maintain a mote of decency. But an ardent and argent gaze makes it clear that she cares little for social conventions when she parleys only with beasts of the woods and fish of the sea. Like Artemis, Phoebe is the daughter of nature itself; even a glimpse of her blinds the eyes, stuns the mind, and condemns the flesh to the bloody hunt.
History
Around 784, a nymph from the Isle of Mist fell in love with a visiting ghaele from the Olympian Glades of Arborea. Phoebe was the result, and she was raised and nurtured on that island in the middle of the Horizos Ocean for many years. When she was old enough to live on her own, her mother vanished to heaven with her father. Phoebe didn't mind, however. She preferred a life alone, and became the protector and caretaker of the Isle of Mist for decades. She hunted when she needed to hunt and stalked invading sailors when they risked despoiling the land. Gifted with angelic wings, Phoebe didn't feel inclined to stay on the Isle forever. She turned over its guardianship to a wandering lammasu and flew west. Phoebe arrived to the great continent of Kukul, and lingered in a place called Nnanga Bay. Dwelling in the coastal water and the lush, surrounding woods, Phoebe soon settled into her new home. She occupied herself in the same manner that she lived on the Isle of Mist. For the first few decades, there were luckily few threats to her home. But things began to change with pirate ships cruising dangerously close and human wizards traipsing through her woods, vanishing before she could even try to chase them away. Just what was going on? Phoebe's curiosity quickly became concern and irritation.
Personality
Phoebe is quiet. She realizes she's a beautiful creature -- one of the most beautiful in the world even. But she does not seek to glorify in the gifts her parents passed down. Humbly, Phoebe only maintains her own little protectorate with the powers given to her. She is not object to aiding others if they approach her respectfully. Though she possesses a kind heart, Phoebe is still as whimsical as her fey parentage, and as likely to put an arrow through a rude trespasser than anything else.
Goals
Phoebe will pursue the Ranger class to mastery (20th level) before considering a multi-class. If she does, it will probably be Druid or Cleric (of Uná).
