Parttoru Ceshnakishnak

Description

Lean and powerfully built, Parttoru appears to be a machine housed in flesh and steel. Muscle and sinew define an inhuman body, the form of a man who evolved parallel to humans and elves. The flat sprawl of his feet even in boots, the wrinkle of pointed ears, the porcine folds of his sneering lips all reveal a hobgoblin. But the cunning in his black eyes and the calm, self-assured agility of his every movement also present a predator. Discipline and guile patch together under that light yet well-crafted silvery chain shirt. Parttoru made sure whoever crafted his weapons did so with care and talent. The deadly and barbed tools align this hobgoblin with the trade of most of his kind: the cold fury of a warrior bent on vengeance and conquest.

History

For as long as he lived, Parttoru Ceshnakishnak prepared. His malevolent clan in Stormiron, the Bloodblades, relished their reputation as master elf-hunters. They formed the tip of the darkling spear, and Parttoru showed both the talent and drive to be the keenest point. He trained hard and he even studied hard: anatomy, strategy, investigations. Once of age and his training ended with the killing of a prisoner purposely armed for a fighting chance, he began a mostly solitary career of death and victory. Key enemies, especially in Chrystana, fell to his blades and arrows. He continued to amass a body count until at last, Lord Ferris of Stormiron could not ignore the dark champion. The hobgoblin commander gave Parttoru a vital quest, one that could change the destiny of darklings throughout Estonen. An ancient sword supposedly forged by the first darklings lay somewhere in the Sonodell Mountains, and he was charged with retrieving it. Unfortunately, rumor had it that the damned elves were also sending champions to recover it first. Darsix needed its best, and Parttoru was the darkling for the job.

Personality

Parttoru is a sublime killer. He’s cautious, merciless, watchful, and relentless. He takes pleasure in studying poisons and their effects, or just to organize his collection of such toxins. (That and his infatuation with the sheen of platinum: all jewelry, all coinage, and eventually all weapons must be trimmed in the stuff.) He doesn’t hate elves, he just regards them rightly as his people’s enemy. If the elves submitted and surrendered, he’d be the first to call for their subjugation but not annihilation. Secretly, he knows that will never happen, and he relishes the endless war.

Goals

Parttoru is a pinnacle of lethal force and agility and channels it well into the prestige class of assassin. He intends to master that class first, then further his basic yet deadly fighter and rogue skills to epic levels, too.
