Ophelia Undine

Description

Measured cunning lines every sleek feature of Ophelia Undine. From the scaled patches of otherwise flawless olive-green skin to the shrewd crease of her brow, and from the cunning of her slit yellow eyes to the yuan-ti’s taut musculature, young Ophelia embodies perfection for which all purebloods know they should strive. As tall as 5’8” and 130 pounds, her flesh is full of focused power. That strength gives her a smooth and unstoppable gait, a domineering and commanding air that gives her a sense of vicious superiority. Ophelia seems to almost float above all as both judge and executioner. She never bothers with anything as pedestrian as heavy armor. All she wears is a simple, loose, and sleeveless cheongsam dress. It bares much of the olive skin (and patches of serpentine scales) of her shapely and muscled arms and legs. Long, black hair is worn as a braid that slips down the length of her spine. A sharp clip keeps the braid in place at the base. The way Ophelia stalks the land makes it clear she is more than a predator. She is a powerful being: a goddess in the making.

History

In the Trachen Woods of Elan, Ophelia Undine was born 157 years ago and raised as any other pureblood yuan-ti. The pride instilled in her from youth and the training she received was typical of all yuan-ti. Of course, perfection and overachievement was expected of Ophelia by her parents and extended, serpentine family. Not out of fidelity but natural ability did Ophelia reveal great promise, impressing even the full-blooded abominations. Thus, Ophelia was entered into the “great experiment”: a half-drowned abandoned abbey in the middle of the marsh. There Ophelia began training in exotic manners that displayed the yuan-ti’s own distant roots. However, long ago the training program was stopped because the elders feared that the purebloods, the only ones who could develop this monk training properly, would think too much of themselves and revolt. Only recently had this training begun again (recently for yuan-ti!). Ophelia knew she had to tread carefully, even as she graduated after ten years. She moved to an area of the woods where she could demonstrate and hone her skills on the frontlines of the yuan-ti’s great endeavors and conquests.

Personality

Ophelia is cold, calculating, cunning, sharp, and astute. She gives her long-term ambitions careful consideration lest her extended family judge her treacherous. So while Ophelia has lofty ideas for herself, those plans are kept quiet even as she acts obedient to the will of the abominations and priests of Merrshaulk.

Goals

Ophelia will master the monk class (20th-level+) and beyond to epic levels.
