Luthar "The Bear" Berr
Description
A caveman? No, Luthar Berr's orcish heritage is just evident in his manly features. The beastish half-orc's skin is a sickly gray and tufts of black, wiry hair appear here and there. His face is broad and his brow slightly beetled. His black hair is greasy, long, and unkempt. But unlike the common orc, Luthar's black eyes glimmer with cunning and intelligence befitting a proud warrior of his stature. Six and a half feet tall and almost 250 pounds of pure muscle, Luthar was clearly nicknamed well as "The Bear". The barbarian wears a suit of tough leather set with cruel iron studs. A short bow, a quiver of crudely fletched arrows, and a pack of general gear are all strapped to his broad back. Hoisted on Luthar's shoulder, however, is his hated race's signature weapon. A thick oaken shaft boasts two axe-heads, one on each side. The deadly iron axe heads are double-edged, prepared to hack and slash any foe to quick ribbons.
History
Born in 894 in the camp-town of Lupis, the heart of goblin and orc life in Darsix, Luthar Berr was the result of pure perversion. Unlike some half-orcs' origin, Luthar was not a product of rape. His human mother willingly lay with his brutish orc father. He was too rough with the woman, however, and Luthar was the only child she would bear. The half-orc was raised by his parents with a strange contrast of disdain and cruelty. It inspired a ferocious personality in Luthar. He didn't hate either orc or human, inheriting his father's strength and skill at war. From his mother, he inherited human cunning and ambition. He wanted to become a ruler of orcs and men alike, and channeled the cruel pain his parents so often inflicted into a terrible force. Not yet experienced enough to command the respect of others, Luthar strayed from the common boundaries of Lupis to begin his conquest.
Personality
Luthar is a psychopath, a killer, and a scoundrel. He slays anyone who shows him disrespect, or harbors a grudge and silent promise to kill anyone who disrespects but outmatches him. His great strength and frightening wrath, combined with his above-average intelligence and self-assurance, make him an unusual and potentially legendary warrior.
Goals
Luthar will pursue the Barbarian class to mastery (20th level) before considering a multi-class, perhaps as Rogue or even the Assassin prestige class.
