Lirro Atol
Description
From the waist up, Lirro Atol passes for a youthful, good-looking, and powerfully-built human being. He has fair skin and often wears nothing, revealing rippling muscles. From the waist down, of course, the merman's true nature is obvious. He lacks legs and insteads owns a strong body of a fish, the scales as bright as a tuna's. This lower body, all the way down to the supple tail fins, is clearly a potent propellant. From his long aqua-green hair that floats like kelp about his head to the tip of that tail, Lirro is about 8'4" and easily weighs almost 430 pounds. His spectacular build is usually left naked for display and ease of movement in the watery depths of the ocean. When on patrol, Lirro will wear a shirt of blue-steel chain links, engraved on which is an emblem of the head of a trident. A similar trident, as well as a light crossbow and other weapons, may be in the warrior's hands. Lirro seems to be ready for anything. However, his striking blue eyes are often distracted by the passage of a fair damsel!
History
About 22 years ago, Lirro was welcomed as the latest strong and healthy addition to the Atol family. He lived in the City of the Warm Corals, a merfolk realm in the distant reaches of the Devios Ocean, so named for its nearby aquatic volcanoes. The Atols were a family prized for producing some of the best warriors, especially mermen who could wage battle on the surface of the water (e.g., versus mariners). That made them excellent guardians of the city and Lirro was prepared for that legacy. He trained and followed in his older brothers' footsteps through adolescence. Lirro proved to be even stronger and braver than his siblings, albeit he sometimes seemed more foolhardy as well. More than once, Lirro tested fate by getting into trouble with a school of sharks or harassing locathah hunters. Luckily, he was quite strong enough and clever enough to escape from those situations, too! When he matured and assumed an official position as Guardian of the Deepfire, his first assignment was to accompany Melasul, a mermaid, in the scouting of dark rumors regarding the Blackheat Currents further north. Happy day!
Personality
Lirro can be a little impetuous at times, and often capricious. But it's always in fun, and Lirro sure loves to flirt to boot. Really, he's just proud of his physique and skills, and he's eager to prove himself to anyone who's watching.
Goals
Lirro is interested in mastering the fighter class and beyond (20th level+) as an epic Guardian of the Deepfire. Perhaps in the future, he will be appointed general or higher!
