Leilatha Virweald Stormwhisper
Description
Honey-gold flows around a face of timeless beauty. Leilatha’s elven nature grows obvious by the peek of canted ear tips through that yellow mane. A slender and willowy stature belies her elvish strength and grace. Often, the priestess may be found clad in the finest silks, stained a vibrant red hue in honor of her goddess, Dreyma, whose symbol she wears as broach. Leilatha seems to eschew violence, wearing weapons and armor only when absolutely necessary. However, she always carries a gem-encrusted scepter heavy enough to use as a mace. Other jewels frequently bedeck the blonde vision of woodland beauty. Yet, always is the eye drawn to her smile.
History
Leilatha described an oddity when her mother gave birth to her and her twin sister, Alay’na, over 150 years ago. They lived in Tempana, House of Golden Doors, capital of the Skosalvir (wood elves) in Chrystana. Twins always stayed rare to the elvish species. For over a century, the two sisters lived inseparably, growing up together, learning together, living together. No love was purer than between both siblings. When they came of age, though identical on the outside, clearly their roles and drives led them to different places. Leilatha dedicated her life to Dreyma, guided there by a call for self-perfection and the blessings of her birthrights. Dreyma’s temples stood snugly and relatively safely, deep in the forest. She bid farewell to her sister, who would serve admirably as a scout on the front lines of the Chrystana’s dangerous southern borders. Only on occasion did the twins’ paths cross again. But perhaps fate would lead them to a bright future together, even if it teases them with taboo and whimsy.
Personality
Leilatha is a beauteous contradiction, as elves often are. She is at once faithful and flighty. She believes deeply in personal liberty but does not hesitate to use her charms to compel others to do what is right and good. She despises bloodshed but has trained her entire life in the use of the blade and bow. A curious note about her particularities: Leilatha chafes (literally) in armor and wears it as infrequently as possible, relying on mystical protections whenever they’re sufficient. Though it may be psychological, this “allergy” to metal, it isn’t unusual among sylvan elves either.
Goals
Despite wood elves’ difficulty with inscribed arcana, Leilatha intends to bridge her mystical talents over not only from the priesthood but into wizardry, elevating her skill in both the divine and arcane, and possibly branching off as a mystic theurge.
