Description
As all drow, Illena boasts smooth, onyx skin, even as she favors jade-green eyes. Her hair is pixie-cut fashion and platinum blonde. The wizardress favors slinky attire to distract onlookers and mislead foes into underestimating her by her dark, leggy beauty. The black, silver-trimmed robes are thus slit up both legs and low-cut at the neckline. Tiny alchemist’s scales are embroidered around the bottom hem of her robe. Sandals protect her delicate feet, leather bands winding up her calves. Illena carries little more than pouches at her corded belt and a sheathed dirk.
History
The magic of the drow powered their blood and gifts. Most settled for their demonic heritage. Only a few ever bothered to push their talents beyond. And Illena Tanzos of House Istana always commanded a rare brilliance and comprehension of the difficult equations of alchemy. So Illena studied at the Academia Arcana in Terrazhan. She rose to excellence with her tenacity, ambition, and focus on her career. Illena graduated when she was only 132 and was appointed to a southern perimeter outpost as a wizardly guard. For several tense years, Illena witnessed trade groups of her people meet with the strange kuo-toa. Inevitably, the bipedal amphibians assaulted the drow when long-honored treaties fell through to treachery. Though she was victorious over an apprentice whip, her entire outpost was defeated. As one of the few survivors, Illena fled back to Terrazhan. Despite knowing she would be punished for cowardice, Illena stayed loyal to her people.
Personality
Though Illena is cunning and ambitious, this drow wizardress remains loyal to Sivarnatta. But that's only because she knows a self-serving dark elf is accepted so long as she remains the innovative genius and astute alchemist. Illena is well learned and attentive, fearsome in her immaculate representation of her people's evil brilliance.
Goals
Illena intends to master Wizardry (20th level), and then possibly become an Archmage for her epic progress.
