Bio
The middle child of Darrald and Skyliz, Haleyl outshined his older brother in the ways of the Force and his sister who never did inherit the gift. Indeed, he seemed like he might outshine even his heroic and famous cousin, Nycola, because he commanded the family patriarch’s power of Force Persuasion beyond any other. Indeed, Haleyl learned and experimented and harnessed the power of his voice throughout his years of training and study. His tested skills and calm heart made him a great choice to send on dangerous missions that the Jedi needed done. Few were as deadly as Oricon, where gathered the Dread Masters and their mastery of the Dark Side of the Force. But Haleyl voyaged there with the Republic’s heroes and confronted those dangers. Like so many, tragically, the Dread Masters’ collective power overwhelmed even his careful meditations and focus. He was driven mad by fear, blindly lashing out at his fellow Republic warriors. When the moment passed, he was soaked in blood, and fled into hiding. Alone, he desperately fought to keep the Dread Masters out of his head. The conflict seemed to take months, though actually it took days—days during which he nearly starved to death. The incident scarred Haleyl, rendering him paranoid and fretful of losing himself to overwhelming power like that ever again. Consequently, he redoubled his efforts to empower his mastery of the Force, gathering opportunities to learn secrets and ancient lore…no matter the cost.
