Hadeon Ozkar
Description
As a soldier, Hadeon Ozkar, could never be what he was becoming. A worried man that appears to be exhausting his 30s already, Hadeon’s dark hair and short-trimmed beard frame features of a grumpy order. Dark-brown eyes flash with impatience and pent-up outrage. His armor and weapons -- and there are many -- are all polished and in excellent condition. A former man-at-arms, clearly this human had expectations that have fallen short of reality. But this broken-down knight still has fire and hunger for blood in his tall form. He’s obviously the sort of man that, if he’s charging, it’s best to just get out of the way.
History
Hadeon Ozkar was born 30 years hence in the small town of Abrasia. The ruling lords of Abrasia long maintained a number of men-at-arms and Hadeon’s grandfather and father served in that role. Hadeon did, too, continuing his family ways as skilled horsemen. A minor noble, his fortunes were tied to the harvest. When the harvest failed last year and three of his four horses were crippled or fell ill, Hadeon’s family fortunes plummeted. As reward for his and his family’s years of loyal service, the baron dismissed Hadeon until he could afford to pay his own way again. There would be no help, no respect, and no handout for the man-at-arm that could no longer afford his own arms. He took his last steed, Nike, turned the running of the property back to his aging father, and rode east in search of renewed glory and fortune.
Personality
Hadeon is unsurprisingly grumpy, to say the least. But a kind streak is visible when he tends to his mounts, to whom he gives more care than anyone else. Hurting his horse is worse than hurting him, as far as this dragoon is concerned. He’d happily skewer anyone who even glances at his steed the wrong way. Hadeon isn’t a bad man. He’s just a man whose unfortunate circumstances have soured him on the humanoid condition.
Goals
Hadeon only has a taste for the path of horsemanship and war, and thus will likely stick with the fighter class to epic levels (20+). Perhaps one day he will return home, when he shall be the lord.
