Gwain Lhon

Description


Summoners come in all flavors. Gwain Lhon is a peerless elf of incredibly handsome charms and eager energy. The high elf wears his black hair long and wild. It contrasts attractively with his jade-green eyes, too. He appears to be in his mid-20s (human years), and that may be why he’s full of so much restless energy. But inexplicably, Gwain can often be seen talking to himself. Perhaps it’s because he’s a study of contrasts. On one hand, Gwain is a student of the arcane, fascinated by all things mysterious. Yet he dresses in traveling gear, preferring woodsy (often russet) colors. Wiry and nimble, this adventurous elf will summon much wonder for himself before his long years spin away.

History


From the year of Gwain Lhon’s birth in 762 AK, he had a sharp mind for the nature of the world. The high elf was raised in Raiodell, Chrystana, where early he trained and studied hard. However, Gwain’s efforts were always on his own time. He seemed too undisciplined even for an elf. As a result, he was denied greater tutelage in any field. But Gwain’s cunning grew. He learned to cover his hunger for complete personal freedom and behave with more propriety and discipline. It bothered him to do so, but he was a long-lived being, and he had the patience to succeed. Gwain earned his way into the academy of wizards arcane in Raiodell. He did excellent there, demonstrating natural techniques for the summoning of creatures divine and bizarre. Despite commendations earned upon graduation, Gwain up and left society without a word. He retreated into the woods to study the arcane on his own. One day he would master the arts of summoning, and return to his home in glory and radiance.

Personality


Gwain is as untamable and odd as he is eager and intelligent. His ponderous, wizardly ways are overshadowed by his outgoing and energetic behavior. A burgeoning aura of divine power surrounds the elf, and one day he knows he will be mighty.

Goals


Gwain will follow the wizard class to the 13th-level, becoming a masterful summoner. Then he will follow the class of cleric until the 7th-level. Then he will combine his divine and arcane knowledge to become a great summoner, taking up the prestige class of thaumaturgist to its mastery (5th-level).
