Danika Sez'zo

Description

Ruby earrings complement ruby-red eyes. Danika Sez’zo boasts beauty beyond mortal ken, packaged in a sleek figure of flawless proportions and epitomized elvish loveliness. She stands just over a proud five feet. The sandals strapped up her shapely onyx-black legs add no inches to that height. This drow lady wears a slinky gown of spider-silk inked in an indigo hue that offsets her dark flesh. The gown clings to her breathtaking curves, emphasizing that perfect form as the statuesque envy of all life. Danika’s form is curtained down to her knees with her own glorious mane: frost-white hair that shimmers in the luminescent light of the Underdark, soft and marvelously maintained. Black needle-like slivers clip through her hair, matching the elf’s earrings. Completing that jewelry set is a medallion that hangs down into her ample cleavage: a pair of jet fangs with tiny rubies set as eyes. That symbolizes her kinship to the Blacksiren clan, and clearly denotes the origin of her slinky and ephemeral grace. She passes like a dream from which one never wants to awaken, or a nightmare which one guiltily entertains. But that is a nightmare best not underestimated, if the uncanny gleam of meticulous genius in her gaze is any clue. And for the even less sapient, the steely glint of a knife or crossbow will surely warn.

History

The year 759 AK saw a great surge in the drow population of Adiniren-Zaryl. House Vae ended a bloodless revolt in this Underdark city only a decade earlier. With relative peace, many families replenished their numbers. House Blacksiren was especially gifted when Danika Sez’zo was born. Even as a child, she demonstrated exceptional grace and intelligence, and was surely fit to lead under Sivarnatta some day.

Her impetuous behavior normally would have been of no concern, for all drow exhibit passion. It is their strength and weakness, after all. But for Danika, a temper tantrum in her young adulthood proved badly timed. She insulted a great priestess, and nearly lost her life. Instead, she was obligated to serve the Jhanry matron she annoyed as lady-in-waiting. Her skills passed on from her illustrious family ensured at least she would not be tossed aside as cannon fodder. Indeed, the matron was less insulted by Danika than she let on, and was eager to turn the young bard’s potential to her own use. Danika was no fool, and soon recognized her own value. Only Sivarnatta could judge who would prove stronger and cleverer.

Personality

Danika is full of patient venom. Sure, her elven passions get the better of her sometimes. But she’s a calculating woman of expert subterfuge and decadent disposition, and often turns her own blunders to her advantage. Danika will surely prove to be one of the wiliest schemers the drow have ever known. If she lives long enough, she may become a matron herself.

Goals

Danika will pursue the class of bard until at least the 10th level, at which point she may take up and master the prestige class of insidious corrupter before carrying on her bardic tradition to epic mastery.
