Daimon

Description

Animal magnetism is sometimes disturbing. Daimon is an example of that frightening nature. This diabolic satyr stands with an average build for his fey heritage. His black hair is allowed to grow shoulder-length and kept free and wild. The hair sheathing his caprine legs matches that on his head, but is shorter and curlier. At most, a dark loincloth provides decency. His youthful features are sharp and angular, giving him an even more sinister sort of handsomeness than most satyrs. His flesh is tanned naturally though ripple with greater musculature than most fey ever develop. Daimon's horns curve from his brow no longer than most satyrs, but they seem sharper. If the fact that his eyes burned with unholy light didn't give away his demonic origins, the unnatural wings spreading from his back like leathery bat wings certainly should. When expecting battle, the flexible dark leather armor that Daimon wears have holds in the rear for his wings to slip through comfortably. Two thin bloody prints like gashes label the cuirass. A huge double-bladed axe or long bow of fine yew, both etched with Abyssal runes, come readily to hand. A sack occupies one side of his waist while the other hosts a quiver full of raven-fletched arrows. This half-fiend satyr burns with an intensity few would dare to hope to match. He's better off avoided, lest one falls into the light of his cruel and hungry gaze.

History

Over 85 years ago, Daimon's father was the average, lusty satyr wandering the Ark Delta of Verdentia's western coastal woods. He could not, and did not really want to, resist the lures of a succubus who came to him in those woods. Their joining resulted in Daimon. The father vanished back into the woods while Daimon was birthed and raised by his diabolic mother deep in that arboreal setting. He was taught all the things he needed to know about how to live in the wild, but he also learned to respect and use the power she bestowed upon him. His mother's name was Senyaela…and when he was old enough, she was his first experience in sex. She never aged and was always more beautiful than description. She made him a man, and he was raised too twistedly to care that she was his own mother. Then she was gone, leaving him in this world alone with a simple warning: his earthly kind, other satyrs and fey, would not like him, would not trust him. Daimon took that valediction to heart, and over the next few decades witnessed its truth as he was shunned and even attacked occasionally. The treatment infuriated Daimon in short time. Soon he was taking out his anger on some of his so-called fellow fey, brutalizing them with furious flurries of primal power. He robbed, he raped, he murdered, and he traveled alone away from those woods. Daimon came to a different place, the Derium Forest, always wondering why he was born in the first place. What diabolic purpose did his mother plan for him?

Personality

Daimon is a vicious and angry young satyr. This manifests in cruelty and brutality, and a penchant for inflicting pain on those that spurn him. He's not a mindless thug, however, he's just simply overtaken by his fury all too easily. When lucid, Daimon's heart is filled with questions and confusion. Why is he what he is? Daimon finds little consolation in his talent for haunting music, but at the least it's an outlet for his feelings.

Goals

Daimon will pursue the barbarian class for as long as he desires. Until he at least partially resolves his anger issues, it's really the only profession he can focus on.
