Bakkus

Description

Bakkus looks like a goat-man, complete with black hooves for feet and ten inch horns on his head. From the waist down, his body is sheathed in chestnut-brown hair, which matches his shoulder-length mane of hair. He stands just over five feet tall and weighs no more than 150 pounds. Bakkus wears nothing more than a simple wool tunic. He carries his bow and pipes both at the ready, while other gear is held at his belt or in his pack. When expecting trouble, Bakkus dons simple and unadorned leather armor.

History

Bakkus was raised in a fashion typical of most satyrs in the northeastern woods of Chrystana, the Harper Woods. He was exposed even from an early age to the drunken debaucheries and revelries of his kind. But it didn't twist the faun's heart. His fey nature enabled him to accept this lifestyle readily. More than that, Bakkus was especially inspired by his kind's fiery passion. Music blazed in his soul and flowed through his veins like wine. Once he grew old enough, he took a set of pan pipes, a lute, and short bow on the sylvan road. He yearned to see and learn more about life. Bakkus wanted to create greater epic ballads than any other satyr ever composed.

Personality

Though passionate, lusty, and wild-hearted, Bakkus is a creator and not a despoiler. This faun wants to portray the world with his music. Its beauty and heroes he wants to immortalize so his fellow fauns -- indeed, all sylvan folk -- do not take it all for granted.

Goals

Bakkus will master the Bard class (20th level) before considering any multi-classing. Perhaps he will take up the Horizon Walker prestige class.
