Amosan -- "Graystorm"
Description
Smooth scales blend in with the afternoon sky with their grayish-white coloration. The dragon Amosan boasts a wavy crest that begins on the top of his wide snout and broadens down his sinuous back. The crest then lengthens outward to provide two thin but wide and leathery wings. Amosan's gaze remains as both steady and chaotic as a hurricane and he's surrounded with an almost cloistering pressure, as if a storm indeed were about to break. Powerful, razor-keen claws flex beneath his draconian body while his mouth is filled with rows of sharp teeth. Where his tail meets the rest of his form, a dark band of unknown mystical purpose winds up around. He's easily over 27 feet long and must weigh close to 8,000 pounds. Impressive and rare, Amosan commands a lofty air with shrewd vision, as if he were eager to descend from the heights and tear into enemies.
Commonly called Graystorm, the dragon's human form is unusual but blends in well as an adult male. He stands only 5'11" and weighs less than 200 pounds when he assumes this shape. He appears unarmed and wears a common gray tunic, trousers, and black boots. His shoulder-length hair is white, as if he aged too early. But Graystorm seems energetic and eager, ready to fight with his bare hands if need-be.
History
Over 172 years ago, the Kloud Mountains saw the birth of a whole cache of cloud dragon eggs. Amosan was one of the healthiest of all, and quickly rose to prominience among his siblings. They each eventually went their own ways, and Amosan was no doubt different. He didn't want to infringe upon his mother's territory, after all. When he was in his draconian adolescence, Amosan took wing and flew far and wide across Hale. He settled only for a short time among any single peak. Always he kept to the highest mountains, largely disinterested in the world below. There were far too many fascinating things in the eyries of so many mountain peaks.
But eventually, Amosan carved out a cave for himself not too far from home. The Southern Kloud Mountains became his territory. His peak hole was soon filled with treasure he discovered in forgotten tunnels, left by denizens of the deep (such as dwarves) when some ancient horror reached up from below. But Amosan yearned for more. He looked to the horizon and wondered what lay beyond. Never straying too far, the cloud dragon began to venture around Hale, seeking strange events in which to participate for the benefit and welfare of he and his good neighbors. As he acquainted some of the decent peoples of the land, he became known as Graystorm: his ferocity and willingness to help more than once turned the tide when cruel giants and black-hearted drakes terrorized the countryside.
Personality
Graystorm is adventurous and eager to fight. He's still young enough by dragon standards to enjoy some good rough-housing. He loves to plow into enemies with a gush of cloudy breath and a frenzy of shredding claws. Luckily for the world, he's got a milewide heroic streak, and would only attack those of obvious evil intent. Otherwise, he's content to soar the skies, which he blends in with so well.
Goals
Graystorm will pursue the Fighter class to 10th level before considering any other class. Perhaps then he will take up the Sorcerer class to improve his innate magical skills.
