Akasa
Description
Akasa approaches, the Trumpet Archon seeming to float on thin air. He might, in fact, be flying towards his destination on those great silvery-white feathered wings that span some twelve feet. The angelic creature boasts skin of rich forest-green hue and hairless features. He stands close to six feet tall, while weighing maybe 160 pounds. Silver eyes without pupils gaze calmly on the surrounding environment. His ears tuck back like an elf's, and he possesses the slender build of those sylvan folk. But that belies this celestial paladin's divine puissance. Akasa wears a perfect chain shirt that commands the holy, celestial glow of mithril. A pair of bracers on his wrist seem to have been crafted from the same material and possess a metallic shine so bright they're almost white. A black leather pack of general travel gear is strapped to his back under those great wings. Strapped beneath the pack is Akasa's recurved long bow -- when the devils are too scared to get closer. And frightened they well should be. In his hand, Akasa grasps a long silver trumpet as long as he is tall. The trumpet shines like his armor, and holy sigils written in Celestial trace down the length of the instrument for which his angelic station was named. Of course, at will that trumpet transforms into a glorious two-handed sword capable of swiping the heads of demons clear from their shoulders. Akasa appears ready for trouble, ready to stand and deliver, protect and defend, and if need be, wage war on hell itself.
History
Akasa served the Heavenly City of the 6th Layer of Celestia since his creation almost 5,000 years ago. For the first few millennia, Akasa consented to be little more than an errand boy between solar powers and divinities like Aos, Kapponius, and Laknossis. He never openly questioned his status, even though he yearned to partake in greater glories and know the honor of celestial preservation (i.e., defending the Higher Planes against fiends). He long kept his ambitions and hopes secret, knowing such desires were improper for an archon -- and could lead to becoming a fiend if not channeled wisely. So for many centuries, Akasa found an outlet in the pursuit of martialry as an art instead of an applied skill. When his music did not herald a message from one ivory tower to another, Akasa was in the clouds, practicing battle he realized he would probably never see. That changed, however, in very recent times. Akasa was summoned to the halls of Aos, goddess of peace. For the first time, Akasa did not behold the goddess. Where was she? She communicated only with her wishes, blessing Akasa's fidelity for so many years. With a touch of her soft breath on each of his shoulders, she knighted the trumpet archon, making him one of her Celestial Peacemakers. From there, Akasa was dispatched from the Heavenly City on a mission of great import: find the goddess, Aos! Clearly, the tanar'ri bit off more than they could chew if they thought they could deny heaven.
Personality
Akasa is a driven and dedicated warrior. However, he is patient, compassionate, and gentle-spirited individual. It's no wonder Aos selected him. Regardless of who he's confronting, Akasa would prefer to disable and subdue, and will take great pains to do so. He's never killed or destroyed anyone, and hopes he never will. Having dwelled in Heaven itself for so long, Akasa is a bit naïve about the nature of the planes beyond. He doesn't realize just how much madness, misery, and murder waits beyond his holy domain. The trumpet archon will have to reckon with a rude awakening.
Goals
Akasa is content to pursue the Paladin class to mastery and beyond as an Epic Peacemaker (20th level+).
