Aelidan Guwain

Description

Geared for danger in leather and steel, Aelidan Guwain never walks without his slender shaft of a long bow and multiple blades belted at his waist and thigh. The vigorous grugach sets a keen, slanted green eye to his sylvan environment, always on the search for danger. Aelidan has smooth, tanned skin largely concealed by his equipment and armaments. Even his sharp elven features are hidden behind thick dreadlock braids of black hair. The elf moves with preternatural agility, grace, and an almost feline prowess: the stalking of a predator.

History

Born in 774 to a small tribe of grugach, the Harristhala Forest of Northwestern Elan was the only world Aelidan Guwain ever knew. He spent his whole life intimately acquainting the forest under his family's guidance. Aelidan encountered and overcame common dangers. He learned how to most effectively deal with beasts of all sorts, and learned to duck when more dangerous creatures came rampaging through the woods, leaving those monsters' taming to the older and more experienced wild elves. Aelidan was lucky that in spite of this primitive lifestyle, he never watched his parents perish. He was able to grow and learn and make them proud as he took up the grugach hunter's profession. When rumors that lycanthropy was spreading like wildfire in the region, Aelidan was one of many grugach to bravely volunteer his bow and sword against this terrible pestilence.

Personality

Life is for living to the fullest. Just because he had centuries to enjoy didn't mean he should take them for granted. His longevity could be snuffed out like that and Aelidan knew it. He'd seen death before. Aelidan was a quiet and determined youth when it came to doing the job he had to do. He did not relish killing, but never hesitated either, especially when his life or the lives of his people were on the line. His loyalty to elvenkind was limited, however, to the extent that they offered him freedom to explore and enjoy life. While grugach would never impede that volition, he was warned that other elves might try to "civilize" him. Naturally, he regards all outsiders with suspicion.

Goals

Aelidan will be content to pursue and master the ranger class (20th level+) and beyond to epic levels.
